The phrase "Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke, Phir Milenge Chalte Chalte," repeated many times in the movie, is actually a combination of three Bollywood movies that starred the three big Khans: Hum Hai Rahi Pyar Ke (1993) with Aamir Khan, Phir Milenge (2004) with Salman Khan, and Chalte Chalte (2003) with Shah Rukh Khan, who was the lead in this movie.
A new team of composer (and not lyricist) Sameer, singer Nishant Mudgal and lyricist Vinay Jaiswal come together for creating the title song 'Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein'. The only consolation that one gets here is that this number with a club feel is marginally better than the opening number and can be at least given a try. Sounding more like a non-film number than a kind of song which is made for the movies, Hum Phirr Milein Na Milein is yet again low on energy which is a disappointment since one did expect something better from the title song at least.
Hum Phirr Mileinge... version movies
I got what the song was trying to do and i loved the idea of a song showing Taani's subconscious with all the different eras and of course 'Raj' .. but i just didn't 'feel' it you know! It just felt as if the song was made by merely putting different names of movies and songs alike and was gone wrong along the way. But well that's my opinion!
I loved this song. I haven't seen a lot of Bollywood movies (a situation I am working hard to fix) so the references were pretty much lost on me. However, I loved the chorus, the music, the dancing, and SRK's facial expressions. This is definitely one of my favorite Bollywood songs. For some reason watching it makes me smile. This is the bottom line so here it is: I LOVE Movies! Any questions?
